To address complex and systemic issues, more and more nonprofits are choosing to work collaboratively with each other. But how does that work? What tools do you need to form vibrant collaborative relationships? How do you facilitate these discussions to come up with joint decisions?

Join us for a 2-day workshop aimed at developing your facilitation skills!

What you’ll learn:  

  • Basics of facilitation – what is it, why is it important, and how it supports collaboration
  • Meeting design – the “how-to’s,” useful tips, and tools
  • Meeting facilitation – stages and flows of conversation, soliciting feedback, and partnership building
  • Collaborative decisions – How to support group decision making and help guide next steps

Who is this workshop designed for? 

  • People who are relatively new to facilitation or have some experience but are new to facilitating collaborations between non-profits and/or community partners
  • People who work within a non-profit organization and are facilitating internal meetings or multi-partner collaborations

This training may not be for you if you:   

  • Consider yourself an expert/professional facilitator
  • Have recent formal facilitation training

Following the 2-day workshop, we will host 3 coaching sessions (monthly from May to July) to provide additional opportunities for participants to practice their newly developed skills an

Speaker Bio: Rhianna Charchuk is the manager of strategy and innovation at ECVO. She has facilitated collaborative efforts for over 5 years across the nonprofit sector. Rhianna’s work and experience has focused on bringing people and organizations together to address complex challenges in our communities, including barriers to healthcare for refugees and improving language learning pathways among newcomers. She is passionate about creating space for people with lived experience to be involved in decision making, while also ensuring power brokers within systems have a space at the table.

A partial refund (50%) will be issued for cancellations made by March 31, 2025. After April 1, 2025, no refunds will be offered. To request a cancellation, please email  rhianna@ecvo.ca.

Cancellation by Organizer In the event of a cancellation of the event by the ECVO, registrants will be notified immediately via email and a full refund will be issued.
